Do you ask these questions?
1. Why will God send anyone to Hell?
God desires every person to be saved. God has given every person a free will to make their own choices in this life.
The following verses shows us that God does not want anyone to perish. He will not make or force anyone to accept Him and His Son;
(a)“… God our Saviour (who) desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4)
(b)“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
(c)“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For WHOEVER calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:12)
2. Is Jesus Christ the Only Way to God and Heaven?
There are various religions, beliefs and practices, which claim to lead man to God or provide lasting happiness. But the following verses and others confirm that Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father and to Heaven.
(a)Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
(b)“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
3. If I am a Good Person and Very Charitable Will I go to Heaven?
We are saved by grace through faith and not what we do. Your good deeds or charitable works without Jesus will not give you eternal salvation. The gift of eternal salvation is a free gift given by God to all those who will believe on Jesus and what His death on the cross really means for all of us.
(a)“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8)
(b)“… knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ … for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” (Galatians 2:16)
None of our fleshly works, no matter how good we think they may be, will ever be good enough to get us into heaven or back into the good graces of our Lord and Saviour.
